To blog or not to blog? That is the question.

I have mixed feelings about having a blog for my classroom that I have the children interact with. The positives are that it would be a great way to get the students involved and learn how to create a blog, which is something they will need to do later in life. It also would be a fun way to have them reflect on lessons, I think they may pay more attention to a lesson if they were going to get to blog about it.

The negative is, what will they post? I would be worried that the students would get on and maybe write something inappropriate, I know I have to monitor it but you never know what they may do.

  1. Jennifer, I am new to blogging as well, but I feel we have to try what is new and different and then make the decision. Maybe you could try blogging with your students as a homework assignment once a month and yhen see what you think of the experience. Also, you could try blogging with the parents and allowing them to communicate with you through your blogspot. These are just a couple ideas that I hope help. As I said before, I am a little nervous as to how I am going to incorporate blogging into the gymnasium, but I have to try and then make my decision on what I think of blogging.
